Do you get much snow in N. California?

If your do, I don't see that roofing material holding up without supports. On a lighter note it should hold a lot of dry wood!

There's absolutely no sign of sagging in the 2x6s. All the posts go down four feet, and there's no sign of lateral play. This thing is solid. It's a much better design than that of the last shed (on the right).
It is now, but sagging and lateral play are things that happen over time. You'll probably be fine for several years to come. 8'-10' is about all I would want for a 2X6 span.

Funny thing about California,. you're never far from an ocean, a snow capped mountain, or a dried out desert. And many micro climates in between.
