Hi all.

I am wondering if there is a problem hanging durok 1.5 inched from the wall. Everything i have researched says 1" so i was just wondering if 1.5 would be ok.

Thanks

Should be fine. Just use an extra strip of durock to build up the additional 1/2".

USA code require only one inch Canadian codes require 2" the added 1/2" of space allows more air in there to dissipate heat better and it will be cooler and safer no penalty for having more distance
