    The heat difference in my Presto's, compared to Somersets is minimal (on my stove with my thermocouple, in my house/my conditions) there is about a 5°-10° temp difference. The ash is slightly heavier and darker, but ash dont worry me. Heat does. They are also a larger diameter pellet, dark color (thinking because its a blend), and majority of them are small pellets.

    When you compare this to an alternative pellet (no names) it can be as much as 35°-40°…

    Again. This is my stove, your results may vary.

    If they ever make it out here again, I will be buying more. Somersets do burn cleaner. No doubt. But you wont go cold on the Presto's :)

    I was getting dressed to go for the pellet run, Wifey says "where you going?". I said "Off to get some pellets cause were low". She says " Ahh, NO! Were going to dinner tonight so we can pick some up after!" ;sick

    If you hogs snag em all, I'll be shaking my finger at her saying "I told ya so!" :mad:

    Debbye and I tried a couple bags of PTL's earlier this shoulder season and we were'nt impressed with the dust in the bags and more ash in firebox and ash pan.....Thinking we got some old stuff......Now wanting to try to find some new PTL stock....lol

    Hey thanks, I think I still won. I get a steak dinner and pellets. If I puffed up and argued, I would only have pellets and sleeping in the dog house. :(
