Got the hearth extended. Had to cut through the damper in fireplace yesterday to get the liner down. Got the "t" connected, but the snout isn't long enough to reach the stove collar. So, I had to order an appliance adapter to get the last couple inches. I will post pics soon.

Do I need to put stove cement around the crimped end of the appliance adapter when connecting to the stove?
