I bought a 445 this year. I've cut more than 2 cord of white oak and it hasn't skipped a beat. Plenty of saw for the cheddar IMO.
 
Well I went and did it. The Poulan Pro is mine. The anti-vibration handle seems to do the trick, and the bar adjustment is the standard steel kind. The smaller saws in the line up had a funny adjuster that I know has broken on a few they had as return/rebuild models earlier this year, so I stayed away from that.

I cut a solid half cord of ash and maple after work tonight, and it worked great. Will be cutting more tomorrow and Sunday if time allows.

I also see the Poulan 2 stroke oil has a stabilizer in it.
