Another wood ID?

I split this all up a few months ago. I thought oak at the time but now im not sure. Could it be ash? What do you all think?

I'd say its definetly not ash. But it does appear to be a type of Oak. When you split it, what does the fresh split smell like?
 
Kinda looks like it might be some type of Hickory...
