Hello friends,

I've been a user of Corinth (Maine) Wood Pellets for the past 3 years. This year, however, I've been having problems with Corinth producing massive clinkers (literally, one huge clinker nearly filling the burn pot). In the past, I've found that Corinth has been one of the cleanest burning pellets in our Quadra-fire Castile stove. I've heard that the plant went offline in 2014 to be retooled/updated before being sold to new buyers.

Bottom line, we never had a problem with Corinth before, and I did the right thing and bought 3 bags of it to test burn before committing. But now I appear to have 3 tons of clinker-making pellets!

For comparison, I'm also burning Maine Woods Pellets (out of Athens), and produce less than 1/4 cup of ash per 40lb bag.

I've tried to get some advice/information from our vendor (Paris Farmers Union) with no luck and from Corinth Wood Pellets themselves (nobody picks up the phone), but am at a loss.

Anyone else having problems with Corinth Pellets?

Thanks!
