Anyone burn ELM exclusively?

Yeah, the big elm sections are fun and you get a good workout even using a splitter. It's annoying to run the same 100 lb section 3 or 4 times through the splitter to finally get it to the point you can yank the splits apart. I have an axe strapped to the splitter to encourage those stringy sections to seperate (and a couple of dings in the splitter wedge from missing the target).

Amen. It is amazing what a 29" piece of elm weighs when you have to keep horsing it around to finally get some of it split away.
