Feeling the Heat

Got up to my place in the north woods yesterday. About 2 feet of snow on the ground and 5 feet at the end of my driveway. My firewood was perfectly dry, 3 year seasoned red oak, some maple, white birch, pine and aspen. Took 3 hours to heat from 20 degrees to 60.

Yeah it’s starting to pile up looks like more coming.

That picture reminds me of my first year burning. The wood sacks were a 100 ft from the house. It seamed like it snowed a foot every week. So I shoveled a path every week. Now let it snow, the year's wood is under the covered deck.
