Aquaponics is something I never heard of before today. I see a lot of youtube videos of aquaponic systems, but no fish! How many fish can be raised in a barrel anyway? I like the idea, but for daily protein, if you want to grow your own, chickens and rabbits look hard to beat.

We stopped to pick up some produce at Southwind Farms in Otego NY (closer to Gilbertsville), a very impressive operation including lots of hydroponics setup in greenhouses incorporating Tilapia tubs.
