Are these sounds normal?

When I turn on and off my fireplace, the valve makes an odd sound. Separately, while the fireplace is on, it sounds extremely loud.

Are these sounds normal or can they be fixed?

Yes, slightly. But still relatively loud.

No, it's from a gas line coming into the house.

I have someone coming to the house today to take a look. Based on the video, they indicated that something related to the gas pressure and the valve may be contributing. I will let you know if they're able to resolve the issue.
