I have about 3.5 cords of beetle killed pine and spruce I'm burning here this winter. It isn't the highest BTU stuff, but it is a safe buy, as most of it is dry enough to burn immediately after being cut down. The manner in which the beetles infest and kill the trees allows them to dry better than you would expect without being split.
