Hello all!

I was dumping some leaves out at the local Emmaus compost site today, and got about 12 or so rounds of some Ash that is very light, starting to get pithy but should still have some BTU'S left in it for next year, and some of it has that orange marking paint on it and I was wondering if it is okay to burn that paint next year? Have been burning since 1989 but never used any that had that on so was just wondering if I can burn it or if it'll do any harm somehow; I can peel some of it away that is on the bark, but some of it is on the barkless wood.

Thanks in advance!

Okay thanks fellas.....I was thinking this one probably was standing dead, since it was getting pithy.

Appreciate the info!

That's how they mark them around here too so they know which ones to cut down, so no big deal, I have also gotten rounds with nails and pink ribbons in and on them for the same reason......

Orange marking paint? No worry.

Blue marking paint? Better burn that first before the loggers find out it's missing. ;lol
