Ash Yellow??

I have been burning some Ash that I assume and have been told, were dying of Ash Yellow. When this wood comes out of the pile it weighs as much as foam and burns super quick. It also has a sweet peppery smell unburnt and burning. Anyone else finding this?.
 
Wow. Where did you find THAT article. It was written in 1987!!! I was in 11th grade....cutting class and smokin grass :p
