Feeling the Heat

Hello all,

I have an Avalon perfect fit installed in my home.. It sits flush with my chimney front. This stove really puts out the heat. I am wondering since my stove is inserted into my chimney and I loose most of my heat up the chimney, if there is a metal baffle plate that I can install above my stove and divert that heat back into my home or continue to heat my bricks up?? Thanks for any input on this...

Well first off do you have a full liner hooked to it? If so yes look up blockoff plates on this site there are tons of threads about them.

I do have a full liner hooked to it. Thanks for that info

Begreen,

Thanks for your input on the block off plate. Being a former tin knocker this looks something that I can accomplish myself.. Thanks again..

Dave

It should be an easy project if you know how to cut and bend metal.
