What do y'all experts think of baffles made from ceramic fiber and vermiculite rather than metal? Pros and cons?

My fiber ones have 6 years on them and have held up great. Only thing is the operator just needs to be careful not to whack them. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another stove with fiber boards.

I would guess better insulating capacity than metal. Plus, a metal sheet will have to be pretty thick to withstand those temps without warping and would need more insulation on top.

In my experince metal warps quicker than the ceramic deteriorates
