Bald eagle on the hunt

Stacking some wood, eagle came back to it's hunting tree.
& I had my camera, (now wish it was a better one)
Then the arctic tern started dive bombing it.



Flew out of the tree over the end of the wood pile



At first I thought the min-pin was a goner, but it landed in the field & took off with something.
You can barely see the eagle out in the field on the ground.
dog was at full speed getting out of there.

I bet the eagle could pick up the dog! Keep the dog on a good leash.

Awesome - about two or three times per year I get to witness a baldy plucking dinner from the water in front of the cabin. Very majestic and a site to see at least once.

it is amazing to watch, we have hawks around here and they will swoop down and pluck things out of the fields. wow

Oh - we have many, many along the Rock River and the Mississippi River. Both have rebounded very well.

The eagle is duping you- while you pay attention to the dog, he's carrying off your splits. Look for a mid-sized log home in a tree very soon.
