Running this stove in On-0ff mode, does that wear out the self-ignitor any faster than say, running in Hi-Lo mode?

Or is the auto ignitor bullet proof in that respect?

I'm a bit reluctant to run in that mode because of that possibility.

Thanks,

FG.

At first I was told to use the on/off mode very little. At the last Breckwell seminar I was told it does not hurt the unit. To tell you the truth I have had a Breckwell in my house and one or two burning at the store. I have never used that mode.

you want to keep your stove warm so when it calls for heat its there.it will use more electric and wear out the heat rod faster if you keep turning it on and off.
