I installed a new Blaze King Princess about a month ago. After about 10 burns the corners/sides of the glass are black. I tried cleaning and burning on Hi, neither seems to work. Is this just the way BK's work or am I doing something wrong? I am burning 1.5 year old birch, maple, and oak.
So far this stove is amazing, but I am still learning how to use it. Totally different than the Lopi Liberty it replaced.

Just the way it is. Mine goes black at the beginning of the burn season and I clean it whenever I stop burning sometime March or April.

As said, it's normal. Try using a razor blade to clean the glass - it works very well.

Thanks, I kind of figured that a slow burning stove would have blackened glass.
I can live with that.

Normal. Mine is about 25% black, don't care; been running on high for about 4 hours, it was +12dF here last time I looked.

I have too many other things to do, worrying about cleaning the glass (as long as the stove is running great, which it is) can wait until June.
