Hey everyone, so I've been reading this forum for some time now and it's given me lots of good advice to keep my Breckwell P2000 running well over the last 5 years (thanks). However I've come across an issue that I just haven't been able to find info on so here we go (sorry for the long post)

When running my breckwell will shut down and display the #2 light blinking, usally it means it's time to clean the stove or the exhaust pipe. I cleaned the stove and pipe like normal and the issue kept popping up, the combustion motor was making a whirling sound so I replaced it (sounded like a bad bearing) while I was at it I replaced the door and glass gasket since they were looking beat up and the "dollar" test wasn't working as well as it did when I tested it back in November. I inspected the tube going to the air switch and tested the switch, it worked fine (I could hear a slight click). So I put the stove back together and for a day it ran without issue, the flame was the strongest I've ever seen the only thing that was different was the glass got really dirty fast (I'm assuming the air leaking in was keeping the soot off the glass). Here we are a week later and the issue is happening all over again, after only 8 bags of pellets it seems very odd. Here is the confusing part.

If I keep the air damper almost all the way in the stove will stay running, I hear the air switch clicking like crazy but it stays on, the issue with that is the pellets don't burn fast enough and within 12 hours they're spilling over the sides, if I open the damper more the air switch stops clicking and stove shuts down with the blinking #2. I cleaned it a second time and it doesn't seem to make a difference, I've searched your forum and haven't found anything that tells me how to fix the issue. Any ideas?

Heres the troubleshooting chart
If you do not have an owners manual heres a link

Good luck and welcome to the forum

STOVE SHUTS OFF AND THE # 2 LIGHT FLASHES
Possible Causes: Possible Remedies: (Unplug stove first when possible)

1. Airflow switch hose or stove attachment pipes for hose are
blocked.

Unhook air hose from the air switch and blow through it. If air flows
freely, the hose and tube are fine. If air will not flow throw the hose,
use a wire coat hanger to clear the blockage.

2. The air inlet, burnpot, interior combustion air chambers,
combustion blower, or exhaust pipe are blocked with ash or
foreign material.

Follow all cleaning procedures in the maintenance section of the
owner’s manual.

3. The firebox is not properly sealed.

Make sure the door is closed and that the gasket is in good shape.
If the ash door has a latch, make sure the ash door is properly
latched and the gasket is sealing good. If the stove has just a small
hole for the ashes to fall through under the burnpot, make sure the
slider plate is in place to seal off the firebox floor.

4. Vent pipe is incorrectly installed.

Check to make sure vent pipe installation meets criteria in owner’s
manual.

5. The airflow switch wire connections are bad.

Check the connectors that attach the gray wires to the air switch.

6. The gray wires are pulled loose at the Molex connector on the
wiring harness.

Check to see if the gray wires are loose at the Molex connector.

7. Combustion blower failure.

With the stove on, check to see if the combustion blower is running.
If it is not, you will need to check for power going to the combustion
blower. It should be a full current. If there is power, the blower is
bad. If there is not, see #8.

8. Control board not sending power to combustion blower.

If there is no current going to the combustion blower, check all wire
connections. If all wires are properly connected, you have a bad
control board.

9. Control board not sending power to air switch.

There should be a 5-volt current (approximately) going to the air
switch after the stove has been on for 30 seconds.

10. Air switch has failed (very rare).

To test the air switch, you will need to disconnect the air hose from
the body of the stove. With the other end still attached to the air
switch, very gently suck on the loose end of the hose (you may want
to remove the hose entirely off the stove and the air switch first and
make sure it is clear). If you hear a click, the air switch is working.
BE CAREFUL TOO MUCH VACUUM CAN DAMAGE THE AIR
SWITCH.

I have the exact same problem...replaced combustion blower.....service says he can't detect power to air switch but power to everything else...HELP

Check the power at the control board that goes to the vacuum/air switch it is not unknown to have power at the controller that doesn't make it to the vacuum/air switch due to bad connections at the controller or between the controller and the vacuum/air switch or bad wiring going from the controller to the vacuum/air switch.

Welcome to the forums Kimc, it is generally better to start a new thread instead of tacking on to an existing thread. Your actual problem cause may not be the same as the other parties even though you might think it is from reading the symptoms of the other poster, however in this case that troubleshooting list is what you need to follow.

If there is no power at the controller end for the vacuum/air switch circuit then the problem is in the controller.
