blower affecting the IR stovetop reading?

hey folks.
out of curiosity, on my napoleon 1402, when the blower is on high, the IR stovetop reading tends to read 650, but the right hand corner , right above the door on the front reads in the upper 300 to lower 400s... could the thermometer be skewed from the hot air blowing out over the stovetop, or is it just that much hotter than the front above the door?

Sounds pretty normal to me. I can take the IR thermo and find virtually any combo of temps from around the stove body.
 
mine does the same thing. I know stovetop thermometer is affected by the blower, but my IR readings are the same as yours.
