I called Blue Forge yesterday and was told that, due to issues with premature firebrick failuire, they will not be shipping for the foreseeable future. My impression is that they are working the issue.

Too bad, this looked like it was one of the better outdoor gasers around.

I must give props to them for not shipping a flawed product.

Does anybody know any more about this issue ?

I've heard the same thing. Apparently it's a fundamental design problem.

I met a farmer who has a Blue Forge at a graduation party recently. He ran the thing for about 4 months last winter, I think he said. I asked him about refractory failure, and he said so far so good. He said he burns hay in his.
