Brave 26 Ton Splitter. Did I get a decent deal?

Hey guys.

I just picked up a Brave 26 Ton Splitter with a 8HP Tecumseh. Excellent Condition maybe 40 hours on it. $850 on craigslist. The guy was asking $975.

I wasnt sure if this was overpriced but it looked like an extremely heavy duty machine in great condition so I couldnt pass it up.

I will post pics later. What do you guys think? Good machine?

I am going to the store now to buy some stuff to change engine and hydraulic oil just in case it has never been done.

40 hrs on it sounds like a pretty good deal to me!

875 is ok deal on low hour unit. that rate of tonnage new is in the 1300 range on up lately.

Yeah, I new about the recall prior to purchasing it. I called Brave and they told me if it was one of the recalled splitters they would send me a brand new cylinder or have it replaced locally.
