I own a breckwell p23. 4 times this winter I have looked over and noticed my flame went out and smoke is pouring into my house. I have to open up windows and turn fans in. It happened tonight and I'm not sure why it happens. Happened last weekend and then today. Both the blowers work. Barely any soot on the glass and was running fine today for 5hrs and then smoke came pouring in. I had it in 3 and damper was a good ways out and flame was good. Ran fine until about 10pm. I'm not sure what it is. I just fully cleaned the stove behind the small doors and the outside vent pipe.

I've had my stove since fall and it was set up with this for a vent pipe. I'm not sure if I should go up 3-5 ft and then cap it with a 90 degree elbow. The combustion blower work because you can feel the air going out the vent outside. Could the wind effect if smoke gets blown back inside? Also should I chalk where the vent pipe connects to the pellet stove? I never chalked it and never had a problem until recently.

Thanks

The P23 has a recommended amount 6 feet of vertical pipe. 3-5 feet would help. Also use a total of no more then 180 degrees of bends (2x90 or 2x45 plus a 90 etc.) It's always best to seal the joints.
