I haven't had the pleasure of running one, but folks seem quite happy with theirs. It is reported to be a solid, reliable heater. Personally I prefer a square firebox so that one can load E/W or N/S. The Buck's firebox is trapezoidal, narrower in the back then the front. This is a good solution for tapered fireplace fitting, but if you have the depth in the fireplace you might also consider an insert with a more square firebox. A couple examples would be the Enviro Kodiak 1700 (2.5 cu ft), the Pacific Energy Summit (3.0 cu ft),
