hey, I was looking threw the picture gallery, the other day and saw a firewood box someone had build, and place beside there stove. It really looked nice and neat, so I have decided to started building me one. I'am going to build one out of pine or maybe some cedar. I like the idea of being able to store a couple of days wood in a nice and neat look, does anybody have pics of there wooden firewood box? If so please post your pics

Made it out of an old barn door years ago. When I made it, I had a smaller stove and now my 20's don't quite fit.
It still works and the looks nice.......enjoy making it and post some pics when your done.

Here's a thread showing the woodbox I cobbled together last year. The original plan was to just have it in the house during heating season but Mrs. Firefighterjake said she thought it looked good enough to keep it in the living room year round.

Incidentally, none of the cats were hurt in the filming of this woodbox . . . they just all appear to be dead . . . they were actually just enjoying the heat. Darn things . . . can't get them to do any work around the house. I tried hooking up my canvas wood sling to one of them to help me haul wood in during the winter and they slipped out of the harness faster than they slip out of their cat collars. :) ;)
