No, do NOT burn the cat, I don't think he would like that very much :)

On a more serious note, if it's not punky, then burn it!
 
Burn it.He'll thank you when he lays on the warm floor next to the stove on a cold winter day.

Burn the wood and shoot the cat.. There I fixed everything for you, that will be $20.
 
Cut it.
Split it.
Stack it.

Buy the cat another cat toy.
