Is it possible to control the amount of pellets you can burn in an iron stove by hand feeding them after a bed of hot ashes is made? Thanks

Yes but it sounds like a lot of work feeding pellets in every minute or so to keep the fire going.

I made a copy of that last year to use in my fireplace.
It worked ok but problem I had was not being able to control the fire to well cause my zero clerence fireplace didn't have any damper control.

It does work good outside in the fire pit now.
