I am looking at buying a Enviro Mini pellet stove, this is a new 2008 model, so please advise if this is a good model or ????

I love my MINI got it this year but it was a floor model, not a 2008.

The Mini is a good model, as long as you're a hands-on kinda guy.
It DOES require some owner interface & you gotta make sure it
stays clean or it'll give ya fits.
Read the manual & bond with the unit & it'll warm ya well!

I just bought an Enviro Omega. The way this things built, I wouldn't have any issues with buying another Enviro product. The Omega is built like a tank!

No issues with mine either.

I really like the looks and size of the Enviro Mini. I have a friend that has one, and he really likes it. Our Enviro gas stove is bulletproof. I think Enviro makes a good product.

there are a lot of GOOD changes on the new Mini
NEW MINI-A FEATURES

• Improved air wash system
• New Circuit Board with fine tuning trim features
• Redesigned, larger ash pan with latch
• Grate in bottom fire box has the back half removed to help with cleaning.

For a small stove you cant go wrong with the Mini

the old Mini had a few minor issues and most of them were user maintenance issues

Bought mine in Nov of 08. Unit was Mfg in Oct of 08 From August West South of Boston. Runs great on setting #2 and up. Will not run consistantly on #1. Using Bayou pellets

Pleased with our Mini after a couple seasons and about 6 tons run through it.
Had to learn and correct its quirks resulting in air leaks and poor combustion air flow...
ash drawer, burn pot and cleaning lever, ignitor tube. The improvements
to the latest model probably fixed them. Small hopper, about 35lbs.
It wouldn't take a whole bag when brand new. The lowest heat setting
lasts about 12hrs, the higher heat settings much less. Ours stays lit
on the lowest heat setting most of the time and that provides adequate
heat for a small 1 1/2 story on the moderate OR coast where it rarely,
barely freezes (or gets above 60 degrees). It would be undersized
and need constant feeding if used as the main furnace where
heating demand is more than a little space heater. At max 30k BTU
output, it is woefully undersized when coming home to a cold house
from vacation, we use auxiliary heat to compensate until warmed up.

It has nice stepped, consistent output at each of the five heat settings.
Not too noisy, on low anyway, or we got used to it. Glass quickly gets sooty, the 2008
model has improved airwash. It's a small stove in every way, small
burnpot, output, hopper, passageways. They clog quickly and need
complete vacuuming every ton or so to get it burning clean and bright again.
And we use very low ash Golden Fire pellets.

No breakdowns or repairs yet. The propane got expensive ($5/gal delivered)
locally the pellets are cheap ($200/ton) so payback was quick.

If one's heating needs are minimal and don't require the higher heat
heat settings and constant feeding it might be a solution, works ok
so far for us. Great spacesaver, only the glass and door get scorching hot,
the back, rear sides and vent pipe are cool to the touch so I ignored the installation
setback and pushed it an inch or two from the wall taking up no more space
than a floor lamp or plant stand and heats the whole house, albeit only a
20x32 foundation and 30-60 degree year round temperature range due
to the ocean. It might be adequate in a larger house in a colder clime
if better constructed than this drafty, poorly insulated older home.

We just use the manual control panel, no thermostat.
