I ran into an issue and need brain trust help. I need to build out the bottom of the cabin to accept a skirt.

The front of the cabin showing the siding.

all existing trim is 3/4".

I need to build out the front 3" to get around a pier.

what's a somewhat graceful way to do this? It only has to shed water, not be fancy, but I'd like it to look as nice as possible.

I would move that pier, over the 3".
