I had a sneaking suspicion about that. How can my 40k BTU/hr pellet stove possibly heat as effectively as my 120k BTU/hr boiler running at 84% efficiency? Then I thought about the way the EPA calculates efficiencies for pellet stoves. How can they take into account exchanger efficiency in one case and not the other?!?!?! Just goes to show you can't trust those numbers. I can imagine some meeting at the EPA..."If we calculate it that way, nobody will qualify. Better change the calculation then.."

obviously the EPA has stolen my play book and started inputing random prime numbers until they get something they like.

What I am is someone who doesn't appreciate a comment like this. All you had to do was ask, and some manners wouldn't hurt either. For example,
"Hey, could you please post the calculation in it's entirety. Thank you!"
Yeah that would have worked I think.

What you are is the *wipe that I would have fired if you were working for me and if you were assigned to me as an intern, or co-op student your grade would be zero.

He did ask for the equation you were using.

You got that one right too, Smokey! He's got a lot to learn. Needs to spend 6 years in the military to learn how to work with people, take orders, and don't question the reason behind them.

Can you guys please stop quibbling, enough already. It's getting old fast, if you want to exchange PM's then fine but don't do it on the public forums. You all send like a bunch of high schoolers at this point.

Hey, we're old farts and have little else to do except fart, of course, and fiddle with pellet stoves and other 'junk' (treasures). Give us a break when we find something out of the ordinary to quibble about. Young, snot-nosed kids gotta learn sometime. They sure won't learn anything worthwhile from their left-wing radical professors! Better to come here for an education.

....enough with the left wing and other BS.
Those with nothing helpful to say can leave the forums altogether or spout that chit in the Ash Can.

Is the moon full - full time lately?

These boards are for helping people - if a few comments here and there with humor or sarcasm exist, that is fine - but many threads are getting to the point of having more BS than information.

Please - please - everyone - try to follow the basic rules of the forums. If you have nothing...
