Question:

Can a gas stove be hooked up to propane and than later on down the line if i get natural gas installed in my house can i still use the same stove? I've been told that in order to switch between propane and natural i have to change the orifice (control valve) is this true? thanks

Answer:

Depends on the stove brand. In many cases- you just have to replace a small orifice on the burner and the pilot. Check with the maker of the particular model. Some manufacturers do not allow field conversion. This is especially true with Vent Free appliances.
