Hi
Ok so i have an existing fireplace, however we are going to build out the fireplace and go up to the ceiling with stone....we are looking at the napoleon xir4, the minimun height is fine (it need 25 inches there are 31 available)...but the width is 4 inches too wide with existing hole, and about 2 inches shallow in terms of depth....since we are boxing in the fireplace with cement board and metal studs...can we make it fit?

thanks
mike

Yes. Just make sure you use a steel header & durarock to seal off the top of the opening. There is combustible
framing above the exiting stone & all of it is probably VERY dry...Best to keep any heat away from it.
