We have an $85 Lasko model 1128 humidifier which puts out about 6 gallons of water per day. It's noisy on high speed but really makes a difference in our humidity levels and helps keep our plants healthy. We clean it every 2 to 3 weeks although the directions call for every week, and we're very satisfied with it. Humidity runs around 45 to 55%. We wouldn't like to be without it.
