An outdoor reset is a nice addition to the rads and trvs.

Outdoor reset is a method of controlling the temperature of the water in the system according to the temperature outdoors.

In my house on a relatively warm 40 degree day might need 80 degree water to provide all the heat needed. At -20F I need 140 degree water to heat the house.

My modcon boiler controls the firing input to limit the output temperature of the water, based on the temperature outside.

There are also three and four way valves with an outdoor temperature sensor that adjust the supply water temperature accordingly. Taco i series is one.
