I have a quadrafire mt vernon insert that gets check ashpan message. I have checked linkage which seems to be fine. How do I get to the auto-clean motor and switch?

Take left panel off. You will have to remove control board. There is a plate you remove to expose it. You can also see the motor under the stove. If things are loose, pull ashpan and on back wall is the mounting bolt for the auto-clean motor. If it is loose, floor will not return fully and throw error. The micro sensor could have dust on it also. Blow it clean. kap
