In The Woods
After I grabbed the last of the pine from up top I went for a quick ride, found this nice Cherry down with a young deer in the same area, looks like the deer are eating the greens from the Leeks.

I added another eight foot section to the pine I stacked yesterday, it comes out to 1.24 cord of pine.

Good sized cherry - should yield a lot of wood. Cheers!

Nice deer pics, and of course nice wood pics!

Some guys have all the fun. :) Nice stacks Zap. I think the deer even want to help. ;lol

AB, looks like we have a weather alert, we need rain.
THE POTENTIAL FOR FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS LEADING TO GRASS AND BRUSH FIRES WILL EXIST BOTH MONDAY AFTERNOON AND TUESDAY ACROSS THE NORTH COUNTRY. THE LACK OF SNOW ON THE GROUND AND THE RECORD WARMTH OF MARCH HAS LED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF VERY DRY FUELS. DRY FUELS IN THIS CASE WOULD BE GRASSES... TWIGS... AND SMALL SHRUBS. WEATHER CONDITIONS ON MONDAY CALL FOR GUSTY WINDS IN THE AFTERNOON... ON THE ORDER OF 30 TO 40 MPH...

It feels good to have our shoulder season wood up this early, the next time I'm in the woods I'll be grabbing some beech on the side of a hill.

zap, the fire warning has hit a huge area. We had one almost get away from us. Danged leaves are super dry.
