Soak the wood in water for a day or so (unless its green). Wrap the wood up in several layers of foil, poke holes all through it with a fork.....the wood smokes but cant burn.

Yep, cherry time means cherry pie time to me. It wasn't my favorite until we moved and had these wonderful pie cherries available.
 
Sure looks good! I'd like mine warmed with some vanilla ice cream on top, please. :cool:
