    I have a dozen half dead that will be coming down this winter..How long do you wait till in the stove?

    Still burning some 3yo cherry here. Lights as soon as I pick up the super cedar. :p 1 yr seasoned cherry is good.

    I like it seasoned a year, but if next summer is like this past summer it could be ready. You'll like it even better two years seasoned.

    Because of the Sav, the Cherry we burn is two years seasoned. I hope it continues that way.

    I will add that we used to burn green cherry at deer camp. We could not damper the stove down much though. It was hot or nothing. Worked okay in camp but at home, a year is much better. Two years is sweet.
