I posted this here a year or two back but though some might find it useful or even amusing now. It's a remote wireless camera that I have pointed at the top of my chimney. I can view it while standing next to my stove. If you ever stood in front of your stove wondering what was coming out the chimney this does the trick.

OMG, that is pretty funny! I go out on my patio to check periodically so you are not nuts but man, you should aim it at the single girls next store not the chimney!!! :)

I hate to admit it, but I actually tried that last year. Jsut couldn't find a good place to mount the camera. What channel is that? ESPN the Exiting Smoke Plum Network !!!

I like it.

Only a true pyro-phile would do such a thing. :)

How do you waterproof the battery?

The cam also has a an AC power cord that I use with an extension cord. Most of the time I try to position it under the eve of my house so weather is less of an issue.
