I need to remove my exterior chimney cleanout to repair/replace a cracked brick. Does anyone know how to remove this? It appears that it's set in mortar. Thanks.

Have any pictures of the damage? A chisel and some tapping around the door flange may be all it takes but I'm curious to see what needs replacing. How's the rest of the chimney?

Above the clean out I have grinded out the crack in preparation of mortar and at the clean out note the crack at the corner.
