Chimney Concrete Crown Sealer / Repair

Has anyone used either of these two products? They are made by the same company, just one is applied with a paint brush and the other one with a trowel.

Did you finally hear anything about the products or just try them?

I've used that stuff in the past on a cracked crown and it only seemed to last a year or two before I'd have to apply more. It's probably better to replace the crown than use a bandaid every year.
