Good day to check the flue. Good fire burning. I was surprised I could see al the way thru with a fire going.
I pulled the clean out plug & had about 1/2" of gray & black dust.
Snapped some pics up, looks good to me.
I can see some creo on the top-cap but it's nothing bad by any means. I think that's to be expected as it is
the coldest & any creo would form on it if I was having any creo issues.
Was brushed in Oct. A little over 3 months of 24/7 fires.
For what you can see, does it look OK?

Looks great to me. Burn on brother.

Wish I could look up from the bottom of mine like that.

Would be nicer if I could get the cleaning brush in from the bottom.
Not enough clearance to get it started, rods are too long
But I'd still have to go on the roof to remove & clean the cap.
Once I'm there brushing down is easy, & cleaner, no soot in the face.

You are burning nice and clean especially for an outside chimney in a very cold climate!

I was getting to do my own chimney sweep post before I read this one. BTW nice clean one. I'm about a month into EPA stove burning and I would say my chimney looked very similar to posts and pics posted on here. Volume was reduced to mere fraction of what I was getting and instead of large flakes I just got real fine soot. between the secondaries and the higher stack temps the creosote issue is all but licked.
