There's some holes in the early part of the timeline. Missing from the chronology is the Minoan civilization. They were using hypocausts about 1500 years before the Romans. The Romans improved on this technology. They also used portable and fixed ceramic hearths for room heating.

A hypocaust system was also used at Mohenjo-daro (in Pakistan) about two millennia before the Romans. And in Georgia about 400 years before the Romans.

In 1000BC Korea they used the ondol which is similar to the hypocaust. One also has to think that ancient Chinese must have had a system for heating so I looked it up and they used a “kang” heated bed floor as far back as 7000 yrs ago. It used a single flue, like the Roman hypocaust. By the 4th century the wealthy also could have heated walls with a double flue system.
