I wonder if they have a debarker and sell the bark. I think it would be nice to get, but that's about $100 a cord more than what you pay here.

I would promote it as pornographic firewood -- it's wood that is completely naked.

ha ha how much time do some people have on their hands. is that price fore a cord or a face cord

I for one wood rather deal with wood with out bark. My garden and trees have enough.

preserved:
Debarked Firewood - $295

Date: 2012-10-02, 6:51PM EDT

Cost the same or less as firewood with bark
Burns hotter and cleaner
FULL cord of WOOD-a cord of firewood with bark is approximatley 10% bark!
Fewer insects & bugs (most hide between wood & bark)
Less ash (most ash is from bark)
Less clean up inside and outside

Call for REASONABLE delivery charges.

He probably had the stuff bucked and laying around for a couple, three years.

Then the bark just falls off. Well depending on what type it is.

But I gotta give it to him thats a pretty good sales pitch for "johnny homeowner" who has his winter vaction home up there and doesn't know the difference.

Cl here posted- guy has apx11 cord of Chinese elm, all cut into 16" apx, dia. apx 16-20" wants it split ( you bring splitter) will give half to you for the splitting or or you can buy a 1/2t pickup truck load for $100. ( might make a face cord, as it is fresh cut). Likely wants it stacked as well. That is more expensive than what processed oak is going for around here. Should really send a note that he should rent a splitter and have at it.

That wood has been through either a pole peeler or ring debarker. I've seen a few of the big time wood processors debark. The thought has also crossed my mind to debark but it ain't gonna happen.
