   What does everyone use to clean the external part of the insert? I have some blue lent free rags and use dawn dish soap to remove the ash dust. Sometimes though it just smears and has a grey look. Does someone have a better way to clean the metal .

   If the stove is painted, then a slightly dampened rag or new sponge works pretty well. Rinse and repeat until streak free.
