Hi all,
I have a Fireplace Xtrordinair 33 Elite Wood Insert. I have been using it for 2 years now(well i guess relaly only 1.5). Anyways, I am getting setup to sweep the chimney for the fist time (at the end of the first season (only like 6 months) there was hardly any buildup, so i let t go. Time to clean this year.

aside from that point. I am not sure if i have to remove the baffle. The manual just says to have a sweep do the work. The manual is here: https://resources.myeporia.com/Company_41/33Elite_Manual.pdf Anyways, I was originally just planning on opening up the damper and sweeping away. But junk much end up above the baffle.

Do I need to remove the baffle to clean it. I fear that it would likely cause more problems fussing with all that, than just leaving it in place would.

Thanks for the help

Rick

PS: chimney is getting cleaned regardless...
