Not exactly "hearth" related, but I consider this forum the best place for help in regards to heat.

I have some ductwork coming off of the oil furnace that runs through the top of 2 closets in the downstairs storage area and was wondering how far stuff should be kept from it in order to keep safe?

Thanks!

Framing can be against ductwork. Leave an inch if you want more peace of mind.
