ok.. foot of snow here outside Philly, looking at my Harman and wondering if they
ever tried to manufacture Coal Pellets? I know....too much time on my hands but
the BTU'S would be awsome I assume...just a idle thought..

Not pellets but what they call rice coal and yes the BTU's are awesome. It's used in coal stoker stoves in much the same way pellets are fed into a pellet stove. Talking about BTU's in the 85,000 to 105,000 range here. I've considered this as I have a hand fed coal stove now I've used for 30+ years. However, you still have the ash situation and the coal under attack situation, which has to end up driving coal costs up before too long.. That's another story, so ya rice coal, it's just chipped really small.
