Coal,wood,pellets?

Is it safe to burn wood or pellets in a coal stove?

Hi Sara and welcome!

Pellets don't really burn well in anything but a pellet stove. Can you tell us anything more about your setup? What make and model stove do you have? I'm pretty sure wood will be OK but coal stoves aren't really my field of expertise.

So it's a newer VC stove. What does your owner's manual say?
